2017 PSS Conference
Pennsylvania Sociological Society
67th Annual Meeting
October 27-28, 2017
Community College of Allegheny County
PSS UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT
PAPER AND/OR POSTER COMPETITION
Two forums for undergraduate student work are available at the annual PSS conference. These include the undergraduate poster and the undergraduate paper. The best poster award winner and the best paper award winner receives a certificate and cash award.
Undergraduate work completed on one single topic may only be submitted to one forum—either the poster or the paper. A single topic cannot be submitted to both forums.
If an undergraduate has completed work on two topics, they may submit one topic as a poster and one topic as a paper.
Individuals who are recently graduated from an undergraduate sociology program (within ONE year) may present work completed as an undergraduate.
Students must submit the submission form to Megumi Omori, Ph.D. at firstname.lastname@example.org by the deadline - October 1, 2017.
Accepted undergraduate papers are presented in a special session devoted to undergraduate work. Posters are presented during a designated poster session. All undergraduate students must be present at the conference and registered in order to be fully engaged in the paper and poster competition.
